trapped inside hell
a groan came from dominic as an annoying buzzing noise pulsed through his bedroom. he was living in a small apartment building that literally left him sleeping in the livingroom. so, it was more like his livingroom/bedroom. he set up some as he checked his phone. he was lucky that he was even able to afford one of them. not to mention, he had been able to afford it thanks to one of the vampires that fed off of him. they always needed a way to contact him and this was the way. he opened the text message which had an address in it. he pushed the blankets back before sitting it down against the table. he walked to the bathroom, grabbing a quick shower before getting dressed, getting his shoes on and walking out the door. luckily, it didn't take him long to get where he needed to be. he looked at the text message before pressing one of the condo numbers to get in. after he was finally buzzed in, he started up before getting to the door. he was let in and he looked around, he didn't worry about complimenting on the place because he knew that most of them weren't into small talk and neither was he. the older man excused himself, as he slipped on his jacket and pointed towards one of the rooms that were off to the side explaining that who he was looking for was through there. he nodded his head as he watched him leave before going towards the door. he knocked on it a couple of times before opening it a little bit. "you ready..?" he asked the younger male, at least, he looked younger than himself. he wasn't even sure though. he could have been older since he was a vampire.

![]() tanner had been "grounded", for lack of a better word. he'd managed to sneak out of the house last night and spent his time in the far north, trying to remember what it was like to be human. ordering a burger, small talk with passing strangers. he didn't understand how vampires grew to not miss it. he missed a burger being his biggest craving. all other food didn't compare to blood anymore. he missed talking to people without being unable to focus on their heartbeat. but life was no longer that simple. he was controlled by a man who rarely let him know the whys and why nots, or even what his logic was. nevertheless, being locked up all day had proven detrimental to him. he'd been feeding three times a day since he'd been turned. but lock down meant that he wasn't getting anything to eat until his maker decided it so. so it was no surprise that when he'd been told he had a meal on the way, he was more than ready for it. in fact, he was starving. he trully hope that this person was big enough that he could drink and drink without the fear of killing them. he heard the human's heartbeat before he heard him knock, standing up quickly. it took him less then a second to pull the boy into his room, slamming him back against the bedroom door before his fangs protracted. he quickly began to feed on the boy, growing slightly. all the buzzing in his veins just disappeared. after coming to his sense, tanner quickly speed towards the opposite way, curling in on himself. "i-i'm.. i'm sorry. i'm so sorry," he mumbled, upset. he wiped his face wit his shirt, looking anywhere but at the brunette across from him. |

dominic winced some whenever he was shoved against the door that he had just been pulled through. it was obvious that the other hadn't ate in a bit. who knows how long it had been since he had last ate and there was a good chance he'd probably drain dominic dry. which he would be happy for. there wasn't even a single wince that came from him whenever the other male's fangs pierced his skin. he was almost all to familiar to the stinging that came from it. he soon felt the other's presence leave him, and his eyes shot open the other that was now across the room. a confused but annoyed look came over his face. he was apologizing? that meant that he was new to it all. with a roll of his eyes he leaned his head back against the door that was behind him. why did he have to be stuck with someone that was hesitant. "don't be a little pussy, just get over here and eat." he told him as he finally lifted his head and looked over towards the other.

![]() some part of tanner was disturbed by the fact that this human seemed to have no reaction to being bit. it was like it was second nature. and by all the marks on his neck, it probably was. but it was hard to care when he was starving for blood and there was a willing participant right in front of him. at lease it was at first before he pulled himself away. tanner didn't like feeding. in fact, he hated it. he always felt like a predator, a murderer. and that was just not something he could live with. still revved up from a blood high, tanner growled loudly before rushing towards the boy, wrapping a hand tightly around his neck as he dragged him up the door. "i am not a pussy! got it?" he threatened. letting the human go after a quick moment, he stared at him intently, shaking his head. "what's wrong with you, huh? do you want to die?" he accused. he ran his finger along the scar on the boys neck, furrowing his eyebrows. this was not normal or safe by any means. what human put themselves in that much constant danger of death. |

dominic knew that it wasn't a good idea to use such foul language towards vampires. he knew the many things that they could do, most were harsh and some enjoyed torture. he believed that he'd rather just go out quick. the loss of blood was a little slow but it was decent enough for him. as for torture... he just wasn't into that sort of thing. he gasped for air whenever the other lifted him up against the door after he insulted him. honestly, he figured that the other had to be kidding him. what type of vampire apologized for biting someone. he was but he knew that he shouldn't say anything about it. he rolled his eyes as he pulled his neck away from his touch. "i wouldn't be giving myself i vampires if i wanted to live, now would i?" he asked him, his eyes narrowing a bit at the other.

![]() generally tanner steered away from using his strength on people. he didn't like being undead, so why use his new 'abilities' to his advantage like the monster he had been turned into? this boy's blatant disrespect for his own life made tanner angry. didn't he see how lucky he was? he was alive. he'd get to grow old, get married, and have children. one day he would do the natural thing and die. why rush that? why cut your life short so soon. tanner snapped his fangs at dominic, pressing a hand down hard on his chest. "you spoiled fucking brat. do you even realize how lucky you are?" he seethed. he leaned in close, getting in dominic's face. "you're alive. human. you know what i'd give to be human again? you get an entire fucking life and you're wasting it trying to be killed by a vampire?" tanner could feel himself breathing hard, the adrenaline clearly taking over. two months ago he would've killed dominic in a rage, but instead he just step back, snorting with a smirk. "you're the pussy here," he smirked, shaking his head. "poor little human, life is so fucking hard." |

there had been very few vampires that he had ran into that actually cared about life. sure, there were some of them that loved the idea that they were vampires. then there were the ones much like this one. ones that hated themselves. most because they had become someone that they never wanted to be. they saw themselves as monsters. in a way, they were but dominic figured that there were only some that were really monsters. the ones that didn't care about anyone. as for the other that was standing in front of him. he was sure that he wasn't one of those from the way that he had pulled away from him. he had been a bit harsh on him at first, but he could see why he was being like this. "look, i'm not here to hear another one of a vampires, you should appreciate what you have speeches." he explained to him "how about you just eat..." he walked over and found a sharp object that was near him. from what he could tell ... the other was some what sympathetic whenever it came to the people that he wanted to feed from. the point of the object found his wrist as he slid it across it. his eyes moved over towards the other as he held it out "come on, eat." he didn't care about the blood that was oozing out of his wrist. he only cared that the other ate. he could have died right then and there and he wouldn't care. as long as the other one ate. he was obviously just food to any other vampire, why must he be any different to him.

![]() it wasn't fair for tanner to dump his problems onto this perfect stranger. it wasn't like dom was the one who had changed him against his will. he hadn't taken him away from hsi family, his friends. but it had been so long since he'd been in contact with someone his own age, let along someone who he could take to, whether or not they were interested in hearing his story. and he really should not have gotten so violent with him. not only did the boy probably not like it, but it would get him in trouble with benedikte if he saw the small bruises forming on the boys skin where he had held on with his fingers. sighing, tanner looked away as the other spoke. "i don't want to," he mumbled in response, trying to hide how upset he was by the whole ordeal. he hated this more than anything. he hated that regular human food was like eating crackers now. the blood.. it was everything. he had started to compose himself when the smell of fresh blood hit his nose, causing him to perk up. the boy's arm was absolutely drippy, blood coming out fast enough that tanner knew he had cut a vertical line down his wrist. he looked from his face back down to his arm, fangs extended involuntarily. he struggled for a moment, trying to fight the urge, but it proved no use. having no need to actaully bite the boy, he started to suck on his wrist, a soft whimper coming from his throat. once he started he couldn't stop, drinking and drinking and drinking. he had forgotten that there was even a heart beat attached to the blood. |

there weren't many times whenever dominic would find himself dealing with new vampires. he ended up dealing with the older vampires. the ones that didn't waste their time in apologizing for what they were doing to him. as for this one though, he could tell that he was decent. not to mention, he was nice on the eyes. once upon a time, that wouldn't have been something that dominic noticed. he wouldn't have cared about how a male vampire looked. now, he knew that sometimes vampires enjoyed sex. some didn't care rather you wanted it or not. some didn't even care rather you were into that sort of stuff. if you were feeding them, then they had complete control over you. that was whenever he gave into what he knew he had to do, he had to deal with everything that came with a job like this. he noticed tanner perk up some the moment that the blood from his wrist started to pour out. he knew that now he wasn't going to have to fight with him anymore. after a few seconds of his lips planted against his wrist he could feel his knees wanting to give out underneath him. he pressed his body against the vampires moving him towards the bed slowly as he took a seat on it letting him keep his mouth against his wrist. he figured soon, he'd be out from loss of blood. rather it was from just loss of blood or from being drank dry ... he could care less.

![]() it was lonely in the condo most days. thanks to ben being paranoid, tanner rarely got to see outside the window of his room. he was trapped in a tiny space all day every day. and that only time he got contact with humans was when he was feeding on them. he missed human company, missed the life they brought with them. but this one wasn't like a normal human. tanner coudl tell his light had been put out long ago by something awful. maybe part of him saw that hopelessness that he felt himself in his body now. tanner allowed him to move them towards the bed, finally hearing the slowing heartbeat in his ears. he pulled away, face covered in blood. "shit, shit," he mumbled. there was no way he was going to let this guy's wish for death come true tonight. he'd already killed enough and he felt like shit each time. pushing the boy onto his back softly, tanner leaned over him, biting down into his own wrist. "drink. not a choice," he commanded, pressing his wrist up to the boy's lips. |

the moment that the two of them took a seat onto the bed, he was having trouble keeping his eyes open. he knew that he had to though because if he didn't then he probably would have pulled away. that was the worst part about sympathetic vampires. was that once they noticed that things were about to go bad, they'd always pulled away. it was the best thing about alexander ... whenever he was with alexander he always knew that he was for a second almost dead. he was just so close to death and then at some point he'd wake up in his apartment again. his head started to fall slightly the moment that tanner pulled away from his arm. his eyes opened lazily as they looked over towards him. then soon, he was being pushed back against the bed. the other was now sitting over him and the moment that he bite into his own wrist he knew what he was doing. he tried to push his arm away from him not wanting the blood. he hated knowing that he was just going to go back to good as new. it was no use though because the moment that he tried to his hand dropped from lack of strength and the fact that tanner was stronger than him. he was forced to swallow the thick substance that was now draining into his mouth from the other's wrist.

![]() tanner tried to put himself in this boy's shoes. was it so impossible that he could feel the same way about life as tanner did about being vampire? in that way, he had no right to judge this person for having no regard for their own life. but he was young, and he was cute, and that made it hard for tanner to let it go. he had always been someone who cared about others, even when it wasn't his place to. apparently vampirism had only hightened that instinct. it was obviously that the boy didn't want his blood, but tanner didn't care. he wasn't going to let him die. and the other solution would be him sleeping in tanner's room because there was no way he was going to dump him somewhere half-conscious. but tanner was new to all of this, and when he felt the young male start to stuck lightly at his wrist, he didn't expect the feeling that came with it. there was an odd sense of calm, an eery peace. tanner himself sighed softly, closing his eyes as he reveled in the feel of it. his eyes finally fell down towards the brunette, brushing his hair out of his face with his free hand. tanner knew it was only a matter of time before he'd been good as new again, and leave him to his lonesome once more. |

the worst part of being a vampire's bitch boy was the fact that they could always heal you whenever you didn't want the healing. some of them really only did it because you tasted good to them and they wanted to be able to get ahold of you again. then there was ones that were like tanner and were sympathetic and caring. one's that did it because they cared rather he died or not. soon though, he felt himself become a little better and he was able to reach up and push his arm away from him. his body turning away from tanner just to make sure he couldn't put his arm to him again. he was still tired from the loss of blood but it wasn't as bad as it was before. he was just a little sleepy. he kept his eyes closed for a few more seconds before opening them back up and huffing a deep sigh as he stayed resting was he was. wasn't like he had anywhere to go that was important. he'd probably move from the bed the moment that tanner decided that he needed to leave the room. which most likely would be soon from his past experiences with vampires, but who knew.

![]() benedikte had told him in the beginning that he needed to stop caring about humans. that they were no longer people with feelings and lives, but a food source. but how could he possibly think of them that way? how could he feed off someone and not wonder about their life. what made this boy so sad? what made him so numb to the world. as far as he knew, there was a slight bit of pain that came with being bitten unless you did it right, and this body had clearly been around the block a few times. tanner watched him turn away and then realize something: this boy was just as lonely as he was. he sighed, looking at the back of his head for a moment. while he was here and sleepy, he mine as well stay, right? tentatively, tanner moved towards the boy, wrapping an arm around his waist before pulling his body into his own. he knew that the coldness of his skin would hardly do anything to help make the boy comfortable, but maybe the gesture would be enough. |

dominic expected for tanner to just simply roll him off the bed. do something to get him to see that he wanted him to leave. he was used to most of them doing that. he didn't really blame any of them though. who wanted to have to deal with someone like him around all the time. he had only had one person that was like that and she had broken his heart. she had just up and left him and he didn't know how he was suppose to deal without her. she had been the only thing in his life that was good. he had lost almost everyone. sure, there were family out there that he knew about. family that on more than one occasion invited him to their house. he was older now. someone that they wanted to get to know now. they never wanted to get to know him before though. they didn't care to get to know him whenever he really needed them. whenever he needed a family to take him in instead of living in a piece of shit foster home. there was silence between the two of them. neither of them moved for a few minutes but dominic was comfortable. he didn't know how tanner felt though. honestly, he didn't even really care how tanner felt. then there was a shift of the bed and he pulled his knees into his chest some preparing to stop the hard fall to the floor. it wouldn't hurt as bad if he had caught himself on his hands and knees. what happened next was something that he didn't expect though. he felt the vampire's arms wrap around his waist and pull him close to him. his back pressed into his chest and he closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. part of him wanted to cry there. wanted to just start sobbing. he felt like this everytime someone saved him. he always wanted to die and whenever someone did something save him just to feed off of him again, he just wanted to ball up into a little ball and cry for the rest of the day. he kept the tears in though. he wasn't going to cry.
he didn't remember much after the other wrapped his arms around him because the next thing he knew there was a pounding in his head and he was opening his eyes. there were arms still around him and cold body pressed against him. he was still a bit drowsy but it was better than what it had been before. he must have fallen asleep. he reached down and placed his hand against the other's as he pulled it from his body and slowly slipped away from him.he set up from where he was and rubbed his eyes. he must have fallen asleep whenever he closed his eyes to avoid crying. whenever there was a shifting on the bed he looked back at the other male that had been holding him before. he wasn't sure what to say to him. he wasn't even sure if he should ask him if he was hungry again. part of him figured he wouldn't feed off of him again today. at least, the vampire looked better than he had before. finally, he stood up from where he was on the bed and walked over grabbing the jacket that he had took off whenever he cut his wrist. he figured that it'd be best not to get any blood on it just in case he lived through it. he wasn't going to stay behind though. he didn't really know much of benedikte and knew that he had only ran into him a couple of times but he wasn't a good vampire to fuck with. he was sure that he'd get into trouble for staying behind longer than he should have. "if you need me again ... benedikte has my number." he explained to him with a nod of his head as he looked over at him, pulling on his jacket. |
