the king's eldest nephew and recently-turned tutor to princess soojin, honestly, yoon would very much prefer to be doing something else with his time rather than having to educate the little brat they have for an heir, but the king's word is law and so he suffers not-so-silently.
growing up as a part of the royal family has its ups and its downs, it can be suffocating and yet the opportunities laid before you are ones the average person can only dream of. the expectations placed upon his shoulders have always been a heavy burden and they seem to get heavier the more time passes, until yoon eventually seems to become someone else entirely.
he's always been ambitious, hard-working, dedicated, demolishing obstacles without any apparent hesitation, and once upon a time they might have admired his tenacity. but now, now that he's grown colder, his smiles rarer, his words sharper, it's easy for friends to become enemies with someone they now deem a stranger.
yoon's undying loyalty to his family, his easy acceptance of their lofty aspirations and his willingness to pursue the goals set before him no matter the consequences have in turn forced him to turn his back on people he might have loved once.
it's quite clear that he looks down upon soojin, his envy for her earlier freedom stemming from their childhood days have grown into an intense dislike for her, for the way she fails to fit into the role that has fallen into her hands undeservedly. of course, very few are aware of what his intentions are just yet and how far he's willing to go, especially when he seems to be helping her, albeit grudgingly so.
